Orthodontics For Teens
Adolescence is the prime time for straightening your child’s smile…
Some orthodontic problems should be corrected whilst the baby teeth are still present, however, not all treatment should be started early. Normally, conventional bracing treatment starts in teenage years after most of the baby teeth have fallen out.
As teenage jaws are developing until around 17-18 years of age, the teeth and jaws are much more readily manipulated than those of an adult. This allows our orthodontists to effectively place orthodontic appliances or braces to enhance the look, form and function of your teen’s smile so they can benefit from a heightened appearance later in life.
