Dr. Shaneel Shastri

Shaneel’s initial involvement with the practice was as a teenager when he had his own orthodontic treatment completed at The Look Orthodontics! Inspired by his experience, Shaneel went on to study Dentistry at Melbourne University, graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Science in 2007. After graduation, Shaneel Shastri worked in general dentistry for 5 years, both in Melbourne and Cairns. During that time, he developed a strong interest in cosmetic dentistry and complex treatment planning, while continuing his further education, which ultimately led to his fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS).

Shaneel then pursued specialist orthodontic training, completing his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics. His training encompassed all aspects of orthodontic treatment, including special expertise in combined orthodontic and orthognathic surgery treatments. Shaneel is certified by the Australian Orthodontic Board (AOB).

Shaneel returned to The Look Orthodontics in 2015 and is now owner of the practice along with his fellow orthodontists Dr. Aidan McKeever and Dr. Yunlong Kang.

Shaneel is delighted to be back leading the practice where it all began. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the practice, encompassing Orthodontics and other areas of dentistry.

When not creating smiles at The Look Orthodontics, Shaneel enjoys spending time with his wife and his family, as well as fishing and photography..
