Introducing your orthodontist, Dr. Robert McGlade.
Bob McGlade was born and raised a local in Essendon and educated at St Bernard’s College. He graduated with his bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Melbourne in 1982 before commencing work in both Essendon and Thornbury as a general dentist.
Bob returned to University of Melbourne to undertake specialist Orthodontic training and graduated with MDSc in 1987. During this time he also sat the examinations and was accepted as a Fellow of The Royal Australian college of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS).
In 1987 Bob joined Dr Martyn Riley and with the later inclusion of Dr Sandro D’Adamo, together, they have enjoyed an enduring association providing orthodontic care to patients in the northern and western regions of Melbourne.
Bob has been the secretary of the local Australian Dental Association regional group and a clinical demonstrator in orthodontics to final year students at University of Melbourne. Bob has an interest in all aspects of orthodontic management and is happy to explore and discuss all options for treatment.
Bob is married with two sons at University. Outside dentistry, Bob is a keen cyclist and has participated in many cycling events to raise money for charity. If Bob is not watching one of his boys sporting events, he is dressed in lycra and out on his bike. Needless to say Bob is without a doubt the fittest orthodontist in the practice.
