Dr Yunlong (Lon) Kang

Lon’s orthodontic career spans across three continents. Lon practiced and researched orthodontics in China, Hong Kong, and the United States of America for several years before relocating to Australia. He has obtained three qualifications in orthodontics which allow him to practice as a Specialist Orthodontist in both Australia and China.

His career continued in Australia as director of the undergraduate orthodontic program, and lecturer in orthodontics, at James Cook University, Queensland. Determined to perfect his skills, he pursued further study at the University of Melbourne and obtained his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics.

Apart from his extensive qualifications and expertise, it is Lon’s gentle and friendly personality that make him a highly respected orthodontist. Lon is proud to call Melbourne home, and whilst not at work, he can be found at home enjoying time with his family and four-legged son Bo, and sharpening his guitar skills.
