Front teeth sticking out can result from a number of reasons.

  • Prolonged Thumbsucking
  • Small lower jaw
  • Front teeth pushed too far forward

Well aligned teeth look good, increase the person’s self-confidence, are easier to clean and maintain for the long term, and also ensure the best chance for the bite to work as smoothly as possible.

Front teeth that stick too far forward are particularly at risk of knocks and bumps and these teeth already may have chips on them. It is not uncommon for such teeth to be knocked out of the mouth completely.

Front teeth that stick out indicate that the upper and lower teeth and jaws may not match. This can lead to a host of other problems including crookedness of other teeth, increased wear and tear and long-term damage.
